Founder, accordionmarketing
Hi! I'm Virginia, and accordionmarketing is my firm. I developed accordionmarketing after I noticed that there is a need for professional, experienced marketers who specialize in working with small businesses - those with 1-50 employees, which don't typically have the budgets for traditional marketing firms.
Here is a little bit of information about how I work:
1. I am personally involved in every one of my clients' programs and do a lot of the work myself. When I need outside experts, I have a team of consultants who help, but I am always your point person and take 100% responsibility for our work.
2. I take on a very limited number of marketing projects at a time. This is to control the quality of my work and maximize my engagement. I become a part of my clients' businesses and take every client very seriously.
3. My specialty is marketing small businesses and entrepreneurial ventures. My greatest skill is diving deeply into new industries and learning everything about them so that I can apply my 15 years of marketing experience to any business. Thus, each client engagement is unique and I am constantly learning and inspired to maximize your return on investment.
The name of my firm is based on an accordion file - we can be as big or as small as you need us to be. By having me as your marketing consultant you get the expert support you deserve without the high overhead and minimum requirements of a large marketing firm. My team of experts supports me in creating powerful marketing programs that will make an impact on your bottom line without breaking the bank.
After more than 15 years of marketing for small business owners and entrepreneurs, I have what it takes to create awesome marketing plans that will make your business grow almost immediately! A team of independently contracted
specialists support me in developing projects like websites, online marketing campaigns, PR, direct mail, and many others. Regardless of how many people are working on your marketing though, I am always directly involved in every single decision to make sure that your vision is executed beautifully and effectively.
I started my career as a business journalist - I wrote about small businesses in the micro-economy of Guam (a U.S. territory). That was when I began to understand what it takes to run a small business. Several years spent working through the dot-com boom and bust (1999-2001) in Los Angeles taught me a lot about what it means to be an entrepreneur and inspired me to get my MBA from USC. Then I opened my own consulting firm to support the people who I like to work with: entrepreneurs and small business owners who deserve great marketing.
